Study’s details:

  • TFUS targets the brain's default mode network, reducing connectivity within it to enhance focus and awareness, helping people feel more mindful.

  • Just five minutes of low-intensity ultrasound produces significant changes in brain activity, offering a noninvasive alternative to traditional brain stimulation techniques.

  • 30 participants show reduced DMN connectivity and improved mindfulness after TFUS treatment, confirmed by fMRI scans and self-reports.
